Capturing the calm of nostalgia
This project saw me design the brand identity for a new lifestyle/homeware brand aiming to capture the values of the creator’s grandmother into a brand her audience could enjoy – ‘the softness, the smell of home and mama’s cooking, her rubbing on your sore tummy or her burnt butternut on the stove’. The brand needed to feel like a peaceful retreat.
We went through many different explorations of the brand look and feel, eventually settling on a simple word mark with a fern leaf as its main iconography.
We expanded the identity to different pieces of collateral, creating business cards, and packaging. Everything needed to launch the brand with a professional face.
